In the asphalt plant, the aggregate, which is heated to an average of 160 degrees Celsius and dehumidified, is sieved and separated into fractions. After this stage, it is weighed on the aggregate scale in accordance with the mix design. Again, the bitumen is heated to approximately 160 degrees and weighed according to the mix design on the bitumen scale. The fillers vacuumed from the asphalt plant dryer are kept in the filter and from there they are sent to the filler scale through the filler elevator. The elephant weighbridge also weighs the elephants in accordance with the mix design. After the fillers, bitumen and aggregate are weighed, the weighbridge covers are opened and poured into the asphalt plant mixer. They become hot asphalt by mixing in the mixer for a total of 35-45 seconds, depending on the asphalt type. Asphalt is collected in the ready-made asphalt bunker under the mixer and filled into trucks. After this stage, the necessary equipment and teams for road construction come into play. The asphalt plant produces asphalt in different mix designs depending on the layer of the road. Some of these are modified asphalt and stone mastic asphalt. Hot asphalt taken from the asphalt plant is laid on the road via an asphalt paver, and after compaction with a roller, the completed road is opened to traffic after waiting for at least 24 hours.
