Robust, modular production for long-term projects.
POWER ASPHALT LION 120 is a stationary batch asphalt plant designed for aggregate with 3% free surface moisture and nominal output of 120 t/h. Four-compartment feeding, separate aggregate, filler and bitumen weighing and PowerControl automation support production to the mix design.
120
In stationary batch asphalt plants, aggregate, filler and bitumen are weighed separately and mixed to the recipe. Heated aggregate is elevated to the vibrating screen, graded and combined with bitumen and filler in the mixer. Batch production allows controlled changes between mix recipes.
Units configured according to your project and flexible layout.
Separate weighing and dosing of aggregate, bitumen and filler.
Global components, available spare parts.
Expandable structure for additive and recycling units.

ⓘ Nominal capacity is stated at 3% aggregate surface moisture. Actual output depends on moisture, mix design, continuous feeding and site conditions. The nominal batch cycle is 66 seconds. Burner thermal rating, selected storage options and transformer/electrical infrastructure are confirmed in the final technical quotation.
Project requirements, site conditions and target capacity are assessed together. The layout and unit configuration are agreed before manufacturing, delivery and commissioning are coordinated.
Yes. Modular units can be placed specifically for the project by evaluating land dimensions, material flow and operating needs.
Remote access through PowerControl and guidance from our service team support fault diagnosis. Widely available components simplify spare parts sourcing.
Price depends on capacity, mobile or stationary configuration, fuel, bitumen storage and optional units. Share your requirements for a project-specific technical quotation.
Nominal capacity is specified for aggregate with 3% free surface moisture. Actual output depends on aggregate moisture, mix design, feed continuity and ambient conditions.
Depending on the burner configuration, fuel oil, diesel, natural gas or LPG may be considered. The burner and fuel supply equipment are selected during technical quotation.
RAP, modified bitumen, liquid additives and fibre feeding can be considered for the project. Permitted proportions and equipment scope depend on the mix design and selected system.
For a 2,200 kg batch and a 66-second cycle, the theoretical calculation is 2.2 × 3,600 / 66 = 120 t/h. This alone is not a site-output guarantee: aggregate moisture, mix design, feeding and the operating conditions of other units affect the result.
In the LION 120 stationary asphalt plant, batch production follows an integrated process from material preparation to truck loading.
The base feeding arrangement has four 12 m³ bins, providing 48 m³ of storage. Five- and six-bin options provide 60 or 72 m³. Belt feeders supply the T2080 dryer, and the hot aggregate elevator transfers the material to the VA 1536 S screen. Separated fractions are held in the hot aggregate bins.
Aggregate, mineral filler and bitumen are weighed separately in 2,200 / 300 / 200 kg weigh hoppers according to the recipe. They enter the 2,200 kg/batch twin-shaft mixer with Ni-Hard liners. The nominal 66-second cycle corresponds to the 120 t/h production target; actual cycle and output depend on the mix and operating conditions. Finished asphalt is transferred to the selected storage and loading arrangement.
Dryer gases pass through the AFA GS reverse-air baghouse with an extraction flow of 37,000 Nm³/h. Meta-aramid/Nomex bags and a variable-frequency extraction fan form part of the system. Collected mineral filler may be returned to production where the recipe and equipment allow. Emissions performance is assessed against fuel, operating conditions, maintenance and the project specification.
EQUIPMENT DETAILS
Drives, weighing and storage options are assessed as coordinated parts of one production line.
The T2080 dryer measures Ø2,080 × 8,000 mm and uses four 7.5 kW geared drives. Bolted internal flights and forged-steel riding rings support maintenance and load carrying. Etamatic combustion control is assessed with the selected burner equipment.
The VA 1536 S screen is specified with a 15–20 m² surface option. The base four-deck bypass arrangement can be supplemented by five- or six-fraction solutions to suit the mix and equipment. Two vibratory motors, coil springs and pneumatic gates form the operating arrangement. Hot aggregate storage is 29 tonnes or 53 tonnes with an additional module.
The feed conveyor has a 7.5 kW geared motor, impact idlers at the loading zone and suitable bearing housings. The aggregate elevator uses a 37 kW drive, chain-and-bucket system and backstop protection. The collecting conveyor drive and remaining line details are defined by the final configuration.
The aggregate weigh hopper uses four load cells; the filler and bitumen hoppers use three each. Separate capacities are 2,200 / 300 / 200 kg. The twin-shaft mixer combines angled arms and paddles, replaceable Ni-Hard liners and pneumatic discharge.
A 50-tonne option is available for the base 30-tonne filler silo. A silo-top pulse-jet filter, screw conveyor and flow aids complete the filler system. Finished-mix storage options of 50 / 100 tonnes are selected for dispatch and site layout; pneumatic gates control truck loading.
The approximate electrical load of 310 kVA is assessed with the selected motors and auxiliary equipment. Transformer sizing, simultaneous operation, motor starting and site supply are determined in the electrical design. Bitumen storage, the burner and optional units form part of the final energy calculation.
Automation combines production monitoring and service access, allowing the operator to follow recipes, weighing and plant status from one control system.
Mix recipes are stored and dosing and weighing values monitored. Production reports can be archived for operational follow-up. User permissions and languages are configured to suit the operator organisation.
Automatic, semi-automatic and manual modes support production and maintenance. Interlocks and alarms assist the operator. With suitable network infrastructure and authorisation, VPN access enables remote diagnostics and parameter support.
Site infrastructure, foundations, power connections and assembly logistics for LION 120 are planned together. Manufacturing, delivery, erection and commissioning are scheduled according to project scope and site readiness.
Tower, dryer and silo foundations are designed using geotechnical data and static and dynamic loads. Power supply, transformer, panels and cabling depend on equipment scope. Compressed air, necessary water connections and drainage are coordinated with the layout.
Cranes and lifting equipment are selected according to load weights and working radii in the erection plan.
Standard units and optional systems are selected by considering mix design, production targets, storage needs and operating conditions together.
Bitumen storage can use 40 or 80 m³ tanks, with optional 60–80–100 m³ compartmented tanks. The tanks are insulated and heated by thermal-oil coils. The mineral filler silo is 30 tonnes as standard, with a 50-tonne option, and includes a silo-top pulse-jet filter, screw conveyor and flow aids. Hot aggregate storage is 29 tonnes, with a 53-tonne modular option. Final options are defined in the technical quotation.
RAP, modified bitumen, liquid anti-stripping additives and fibre/cellulose feeding units can be considered. RAP proportion and feeding method depend on the selected system and mix specification.
Dryer flights, burner settings, insulation and maintenance are assessed together to manage heat transfer and fuel use. Cost per tonne and payback depend on fuel type, aggregate moisture, annual output, operating hours and local energy prices.
For LION 120, operator capability and maintenance planning are as important as plant delivery.
Emergency stops, interlocks, access platforms, guardrails and non-slip stairs support safe operation. Temperature monitoring, alarms and maintenance procedures for bitumen and thermal-oil circuits are defined with the project equipment.
Service and spare parts support covers mixer wear parts, filter bags, sensors and other maintenance items. Commissioning includes operator training, manuals, maintenance planning and weighing calibration. Service scope and response conditions are defined in the contract.
