POWERASPHALT / PLANT COMPONENTS
Cold Aggregate Feed Bins
The right mix starts with balanced material feeding.
Cold aggregate feed bins store different aggregate sizes in separate compartments and provide the first metering stage in asphalt production. Individual belt feeders deliver material to the collecting conveyor in the proportions set by the mix recipe. Stationary and mobile arrangements are configured to suit storage requirements and site logistics.

PROJECT-SPECIFIC EQUIPMENT FOR YOUR PRODUCTION LINE
PRODUCTION FLOW
How it works in three steps.
The task of the unit, associated equipment and the route of the material.
Storage of fractions
Aggregate is loaded into separate compartments according to grain size. The upper grille limits the entry of unsuitable large pieces into the feed line.
Independent dosing
Each bin has an independently controlled belt feeder. A vibrator helps maintain the flow of fine material at the bin outlet.
Transfer to dryer
The collection conveyor combines material from different compartments; The feed conveyor delivers the aggregate to the dryer.
INSIDE THE EQUIPMENT
Main components and their functions.
The housing, drive and control components are assessed together with production and maintenance requirements.
Bin body and extensions
Sloping walls direct material towards the outlet. Bolted extensions are selected to suit storage and transport requirements.
Vibromotor and flow control
Vibration promotes the flow of fine aggregate. The flow control switch is used to monitor supply interruption.
Belt feeders
The frequency-controlled drive allows the belt speed to be adjusted according to the recipe. Rubber drum lining supports traction.
Collecting conveyor
Troughing idlers, the conveyor belt and geared drive carry aggregate from the individual bins along the common conveying line.
Feed conveyor
Impact rollers, bearing groups and drums at the loading point form the transfer line to the dryer.
Mobile chassis or stationary support structure
In a mobile arrangement, the bins, belt feeders and collecting conveyor can share a common chassis. A stationary arrangement is designed around site foundations.
TECHNICAL CONFIGURATION
Specify the right equipment for your plant.
It is based on your production target and selected configuration, rather than a standard number.
| Feature | Options / design considerations |
|---|---|
| Number of bunkers | 3, 4, 5 or 6 compartments; according to recipe and project |
| Storage options | 8–20 m³ volume options; net volume per compartment is defined in the quote |
| Supply | Independently controlled dosing and collection conveyors |
| Residential | stationary or mobile structure |
Selection and integration
The number of compartments is selected according to aggregate fractions, loader access and the production plan. Belt width and drive power are calculated from material density and the required feed rate. Net volume per compartment and total storage capacity are specified for the chosen layout.
OPERATION AND SERVICE
Maintenance access is part of the design.
Equipment tracking, automation connections and service planning are handled within the same production chain.
Inspection and preventive maintenance
Grids, bunker exits, belt centering, roll beds and drum linings are checked. Since changes in aggregate moisture can affect flow, dosing settings are monitored with operating data. The condition of vibromotor connections and flow sensors is included in the maintenance plan.
Automation and technical support
Sensors, operating commands and safety interlocks are evaluated together with the existing control system. Maintenance and adjustments are made according to the equipment user manual and authorized service procedures. Get technical support →
