WHY POWER ASPHALT

Engineering that empowers
your production.

In stationary batch asphalt plants, aggregate, filler and bitumen are weighed separately and mixed to the recipe. Heated aggregate is elevated to the vibrating screen, graded and combined with bitumen and filler in the mixer. Batch production allows controlled changes between mix recipes.

Modular design

Units configured according to your project and flexible layout.

Precise mix design control

Separate weighing and dosing of aggregate, bitumen and filler.

Easy maintenance

Global components, available spare parts.

Flexible configuration

Expandable structure for additive and recycling units.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Project requirements, site conditions and target capacity are assessed together. The layout and unit configuration are agreed before manufacturing, delivery and commissioning are coordinated.

Yes. Modular units can be placed specifically for the project by evaluating land dimensions, material flow and operating needs.

Remote access through PowerControl and guidance from our service team support fault diagnosis. Widely available components simplify spare parts sourcing.

Price depends on capacity, mobile or stationary configuration, fuel, bitumen storage and optional units. Share your requirements for a project-specific technical quotation.

Nominal capacity is specified for aggregate with 3% free surface moisture. Actual output depends on aggregate moisture, mix design, feed continuity and ambient conditions.

Depending on the 14 MW burner configuration, fuel oil, diesel, natural gas or LPG may be considered. Fuel supply equipment is selected during technical quotation.

RAP, modified bitumen, liquid additives and fibre feeding can be considered for the project. Permitted proportions and equipment scope depend on the mix design and selected system.

PRODUCTION FLOW

Controlled production, from aggregate to hot mix

In the ANKYRA 160 stationary asphalt plant, batch production follows an integrated process from material preparation to truck loading.

01

Feeding, drying and screening

Fractions stored in 60–72 m³ cold feed bins with 5–6 compartments are metered to the T2080 dryer. A 14 MW burner heats the aggregate, which is elevated to the VA 1840 screen. Its 5–6 decks separate aggregate into hot storage bins.

02

Weighing, mixing and dispatch

Aggregate, filler and bitumen are weighed separately to the recipe and combined in a 3,300 kg/batch twin-shaft mixer. The 45–60-second cycle depends on the mix and operating conditions. Finished asphalt is dispatched through the selected discharge and storage arrangement.

03

Filtration and filler recovery

Dryer gases are treated by a baghouse filter with 44,000 Nm³/h extraction airflow. Captured filler can return to production where the mix and equipment allow. Emissions depend on fuel, operating conditions, filter maintenance and project specifications.

SMART CONTROL

Production management with PowerControl SCADA

Automation combines production monitoring and service access, allowing the operator to follow recipes, weighing and plant status from one control system.

01

Recipes, reporting and access control

Mix recipes are stored and dosing and weighing values monitored. Production reports can be archived for operational follow-up. User permissions and languages are configured to suit the operator organisation.

02

Operating modes and remote support

Automatic, semi-automatic and manual modes support production and maintenance. Interlocks and alarms assist the operator. With suitable network infrastructure and authorisation, VPN access enables remote diagnostics and parameter support.

SITE AND INSTALLATION

Site preparation, erection and commissioning

Site infrastructure, foundations, power connections and assembly logistics for ANKYRA 160 are planned together. Manufacturing, delivery, erection and commissioning are scheduled according to project scope and site readiness.

01

Ground, power and utilities

Tower, dryer and silo foundations are designed using geotechnical data and static and dynamic loads. Power supply, transformer, panels and cabling depend on equipment scope. Compressed air, necessary water connections and drainage are coordinated with the layout.

02

From erection to first production

  1. Engineering and approval: confirming the site layout, equipment scope and responsibilities.
  2. Factory manufacturing: preparation of mechanical units, control panels and modules.
  3. Delivery: delivery of modules according to the transport plan.
  4. Erection and commissioning: mechanical erection, cabling, cold tests, burner adjustment and weighing calibration.
  5. Operator training: practical instruction in production, maintenance and safe operation.

Cranes and lifting equipment are selected according to load weights and working radii in the erection plan.

FLEXIBLE EQUIPMENT

Equipment configured for your project

Standard units and optional systems are selected by considering mix design, production targets, storage needs and operating conditions together.

01

Bitumen, filler and weighing systems

The insulated bitumen tank uses thermal-oil heating. Filler storage options of 30 / 50 tonnes and hot aggregate storage of 36 / 86 tonnes depend on configuration. Separate weigh hoppers accommodate 4,155 kg of aggregate, 456 kg of filler and 264 kg of bitumen.

02

RAP and additive integration

RAP, modified bitumen, liquid anti-stripping additives and fibre/cellulose feeding units can be considered. RAP proportion and feeding method depend on the selected system and mix specification.

03

Energy efficiency and operating cost

Dryer flights, burner settings, insulation and maintenance are assessed together to manage heat transfer and fuel use. Cost per tonne and payback depend on fuel type, aggregate moisture, annual output, operating hours and local energy prices.

AFTER-SALES SUPPORT

Safe operation, maintenance and after-sales support

For ANKYRA 160, operator capability and maintenance planning are as important as plant delivery.

01

Operator safety and maintenance access

Emergency stops, interlocks, access platforms, guardrails and non-slip stairs support safe operation. Temperature monitoring, alarms and maintenance procedures for bitumen and thermal-oil circuits are defined with the project equipment.

02

Spare parts, training and calibration

Service and spare parts support covers mixer wear parts, filter bags, sensors and other maintenance items. Commissioning includes operator training, manuals, maintenance planning and weighing calibration. Service scope and response conditions are defined in the contract.

03
