Bitumen Storage Tank
Store the binder and control its temperature and transfer.
Bitumen tanks are used to store the binder at a temperature suitable for production and transfer it to the plant feed line. Horizontal or vertical body; It is designed with heating, insulation, level monitoring and pump system. The storage arrangement is determined by the type of bitumen, consumption and supply plan.

PROJECT-SPECIFIC EQUIPMENT FOR YOUR PRODUCTION LINE
PRODUCTION FLOW
How it works in three steps.
The task of the unit, associated equipment and the route of the material.
Filling and storage
Bitumen is taken into the tank from the appropriate filling line. Level, temperature and tank equipment are monitored according to the operating plan.
Heating and temperature monitoring
thermal oil coil or electric heating is controlled according to the operating conditions of the selected bitumen.
metered transfer
The pump and line arrangement delivers the bitumen to the production or weighing group. Flowmeter and jacketed line options are added according to the project.
INSIDE THE EQUIPMENT
Main components and their functions.
The housing, drive and control components are assessed together with production and maintenance requirements.
Horizontal and vertical body
The body type is selected in line with the site area, storage amount, transportation and foundation conditions.
Heating coil or electric elements
thermal oil and electric heating options; It is evaluated together with the existing energy infrastructure and temperature management.
Insulation and outer covering
Stone wool insulation; It can be protected with aluminum, stainless or painted sheet metal options.
Filling and maintenance equipment
Filling port, discharge, maintenance cover, ventilation, stairs and landings are defined according to the tank layout.
Pumping and metering
Filling-discharging pumps, level and temperature indicators support transfer and stock tracking.
Mixer options
In modified bitumen or emulsion storage, a mixer suitable for the product requirement can be used.
TECHNICAL CONFIGURATION
Specify the right equipment for your plant.
It is based on your production target and selected configuration, rather than a standard number.
| Feature | Options / design considerations |
|---|---|
| Horizontal tank options | 40–100 tons; according to project and product conditions |
| Vertical tank options | 40–5,000 tons; according to special storage projects |
| Heating | thermal oil or electrical system |
| Residential | stationary or mobile solutions |
Selection and integration
When determining tank capacity, daily consumption, number of stock days, bitumen type and usable area are calculated together. Ton and m³ are not the same unit; Volume-mass conversion is done according to product density and temperature. Net volume, available stock quantity and filling conditions are also shown in the technical scope.
OPERATION AND SERVICE
Maintenance access is part of the design.
Equipment tracking, automation connections and service planning are handled within the same production chain.
Inspection and preventive maintenance
Heating circuit, temperature and level elements, valves, pumps and insulation are checked. Body and coil tests within the scope of manufacturing are stated in the delivery document. Maintenance and hot bitumen operations are carried out with authorized procedures appropriate to the tank and binder.
Automation and technical support
Sensors, operating commands and safety interlocks are evaluated together with the existing control system. Maintenance and adjustments are made according to the equipment user manual and authorized service procedures. Get technical support →
