POWERASPHALT / PLANT COMPONENTS
Polymer-Modified Bitumen Plant (PMB)
Process bitumen and polymer under controlled conditions.
Polymer modified bitumen plant is used to process binder with polymer and suitable additives. Heated tanks, dosing, mixing and high shear mill work together. The properties of the produced binder are verified by mix design and laboratory controls.

PROJECT-SPECIFIC EQUIPMENT FOR YOUR PRODUCTION LINE
PRODUCTION FLOW
How it works in three steps.
The task of the unit, associated equipment and the route of the material.
Component preparation
Bitumen and polymer are prepared according to the approved product recipe; temperature and quantity are controlled.
Mixing and milling
Tank mixers and high shear mill enable the polymer to be processed into bitumen with the selected passage pattern.
Storage and control
The processed product is taken to the appropriate tank or usage line according to the quality control plan.
INSIDE THE EQUIPMENT
Main components and their functions.
The housing, drive and control components are assessed together with production and maintenance requirements.
Heated mixing tanks
The two-tank layout allows management of process transitions and production schedule.
High-shear mill
It helps to homogenize the bitumen-polymer mixture under targeted processing conditions.
polymer feeding
Automatic feeding and weighing elements support mix recipes dosing.
Loadcell and measurement
Allows tracking of component quantities and recording production.
thermal oil circuit
Temperature management of the tank and appropriate lines is planned with an external heating scheme.
additive and automation
Solid or liquid additive dosage and manual/automatic operation options are added depending on the project scope.
TECHNICAL CONFIGURATION
Specify the right equipment for your plant.
It is based on your production target and selected configuration, rather than a standard number.
| Feature | Options / design considerations |
|---|---|
| Product | Polymer modified bitumen |
| Processing | Tank mixing and high shear mill |
| Dosage | Weighing and automatic feeding options |
| Capacity | The polymer is defined in the offer according to recipe and number of passes |
Selection and integration
The target binder class, polymer type, production amount, tank layout and heating infrastructure are determined together. The net capacity, operating conditions and passage layout of the selected configuration are shown in the technical offer. RAP and other additive applications require separate process evaluation.
OPERATION AND SERVICE
Maintenance access is part of the design.
Equipment tracking, automation connections and service planning are handled within the same production chain.
Inspection and preventive maintenance
The mill, mixers, pumps, temperature measurement and heating line are monitored. Recipe changeovers and cleaning are carried out according to product and machine procedures. Remote access and service scope is defined based on the selected automation and service conditions.
Automation and technical support
Sensors, operating commands and safety interlocks are evaluated together with the existing control system. Maintenance and adjustments are made according to the equipment user manual and authorized service procedures. Get technical support →
